2nd Assistant / Spray Tech

Frankfort Country Club is seeking a 2nd Assistant Superintendent / Spray Technician. This individual will be vital in assisting our team to provide consistent and high quality conditions. Frankfort Country Club is a private equity club executing around 15,000 rounds a year. The golf course consists of about 105 acres of maintained area including Penncross bentgrass greens; HGT Bluegrass Fairways,Tees, and Approaches, and mostly Tall Fescue rough.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Chemical and Fertilizer Application - Involved in planning, inventory, ordering, record keeping
• Supervise project work and manage in-season weekend operations alongside Assistant Superintendent
• Supervise maintenance staff in absence of Assistant Superintendent
• Equipment Operation, Daily set-up and maintenance 
• Assist with Agronomic decisions, on-going research projects, improving efficiency of operation

Requirements and Qualificiations:

• Motivated and detail oriented individual
• Prior Golf Course experience preferred 
• Able to lift over 50 lbs on a consistent basis
• Able to work every other weekend or other team approved schedule, as well as Holidays
• Must possess or acquire Kentucky Pesticide Applicators License
• Turfgrass Degree or Certificate preferred
• Desire to grow within the industry
